What Is Live On Purpose?
Live on Purpose is a mobile app that makes giving and helping others easy. In affluent Singapore, most of us have the desire to help others in need, but busy lives and packed schedules distract us.
Our Values
Privacy & Dignity
We preserve the dignity and respect the privacy of our beneficiaries. We will not use real names or identifiable photos, and no documentation will be shown.
Efficiency
The App sends the items straight to the beneficiary, cutting out the need for community workers to fund raise, search for and purchase items, and have them delivered to the beneficiary. For example, if a story is posted on a Friday evening, a giver could meet the need Friday night and the goods could be delivered on Sunday morning before the community worker is even back at work!
Transparency
When you give to a charity, you often do not know where exactly the donation goes. At Live On Purpose, every cent you pay goes to meet the need of the person you have chosen to help, through the purchase of item/s from an e-commerce platform. You’ll also be informed if there is a delivery fee. You are most welcome to give extra to the charity, or to help Live On Purpose with our running costs.
Be A Giver
When you sign up as a Giver, you can choose which causes you want to be notified about, and how often you want to be notified.
Think about what living on purpose means to you as you set a target for yourself – do you want to choose a set number of needs met, or set a financial goal? Perhaps you don’t have the time and simply want to donate a fixed sum to a certain cause – if so, we can distribute that for you and notify you of what needs you have met.
Once you have made your selections, you can go back at any time and change them. If you find a need you want to meet, simply click the link and purchase the goods, and it will go straight to the person who needs them, no middle man! You will be notified in real time when they are received. You will not receive the details of the person you help – please read about how we respect privacy here.

The red heart represents giving and helping from the heart. Why an imperfect heart? Because all of us are imperfect in some way.
I have an autoimmune condition and ‘normal’ volunteering and fundraising activities are challenging for me. Live on Purpose will enable people like me to give and help. It’s also a reminder that we don’t have to wait to be perfect to start helping. Now might be the imperfect, but right time.
The heart also symbolises Singapore, our ‘little red dot’. We are all the dots that make Singapore what it is – kind, compassionate and generous.
